March 5, 2010 - I took these over the coast just south of Santa Barbara...a weird combination of haze and fog created a full circle around the sun.

Went up to Griffith Observatory on a beautiful, clear night with friends and got to see Mars AND Saturn!!! Those rings take my breath away every single time. Inside, this exhibit of the Periodic Table made me absolutely giddy! There was a time when I could recite each element and atomic weight in order. I had to get a picture with it....NERD FUN!!!! ;)
